I am an art creator and dabble with painting in oil, acrylic and watercolor. I love doing sculptures with found objects and clay. I love playing with words and colors. I do graphic design and photography. 

Dennis Sun is a cum laude graduate of Fine Arts Major in Visual Communications at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.

He taught Art Appreciation and Humanities to college students. After a year, he went to Tokyo and worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for a decade before embarking on freelance career.

Dennis works as an art creator. Aside from being an established artist, graphic designer and illustrator by profession, he also does sculptures, etchings, computer graphics, ceramics, murals, and comic strips.

Dennis has done solo art exhibitions in: Onda Gallery in USA, UNESCO, Jakarta, Indonesia, Philippine Embassy in Tokyo,

World Trade in Yokohama, ASEAN CENTRE TOKYO, Nagoya International Center in Nagoya, Tokyo American Club, Tokyo, Philippine National Bank, Nagoya, Tully's Coffee, Koyama Gardens, Shinjuku Cultural Center and many more...

 

Dennis works as the editor-in-chief and creative art director of JEEPNEY PRESSa non-commercial publication for Filipinos in Japan. 

 

Dennis has worked with Asahi Weekly Shinbun and had his own weekly column, STRANGERS SURVIVING, which talks on how foreigners survive in Japan. His column became so popular that he was also given his own colorful comic strip to the delight of his fans.

Dennis has won several design, art, literary and academic awards both in the Philippines and Japan. His works have been exhibited all around Japan, USA and around Asia. He plans to bring his works in as many countries to spread more love and joy to the world.

 

Dennis contributes his multi-talents to charity events. He designs logos, brochures and even lends his emceeing skills to these charitable events. In 2002, Dennis was nominated by the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo for the Presidential Heritage Award for his outstanding performance in his field of work in Japan. In 2010, Dennis received the prestigious SM GLOBAL PINOY AWARD for Filipinos excelling in their field of profession in the global arena.  In 2013, the governor of Pampanga, the province in the Philippines where he was born, awarded him as the Most Outstanding  Kapampangan Awardee for Mass Media.
